Today marked my second afternoon working at the farm, and I took some time to get to know the names of the team. Tina, the manager, leads the group, with Amilia, Matio, and Nora, who serves as the farm’s psychologist.
The highlight of the day was participating in an equestrian therapy session. We guided the children along a scenic route through the woods surrounding the farm, where I helped two children with unique needs. One was around 8 years old, and the other was about 14, and both seemed to have autism or learning difficulties, though it was hard to be certain.
On a lighter note, I even treated myself to an ice cream, which was a nice way to cap off the afternoon.
This experience left me looking forward to the days ahead, as I continue learning and supporting others through meaningful therapy.
